'Sheep'

Unique 'Felt & Stitch' greeting card.

Each card is made individually, so although I make a few at a time each one is different.
I make the background felt from wool sourced from local smallholders.
It is washed, dyed and carded before being wet felted.

I then cut the felt into squares and add the picture by needle felting and stitching with embroidery thread.
I sometimes use a little hand made paper and a few tiny beads.

The greens outside my window change with the seasons and my green dye baths tend to reflect this, so the green behind the sheep may be a very different green to that in the photo.

The sheep is usually facing to the right, but sometimes it is looking the other way.

The scene is mounted onto high quality card and includes an envelope.
