'Lavender Hedge'

Unique 'Felt & Stitch' greeting card.

Each card is made individually, so although I make a few at a time each one is different.
I make the background felt from wool sourced from local smallholders.
It is washed, dyed and carded before being wet felted.

I then cut the felt into squares and add the picture by needle felting and stitching with embroidery thread.
I sometimes use a little hand made paper and a few tiny beads.

The colours around me change very dramatically depending on the time of day, weather and season.
My dye baths tend to reflect this, so the actual colours may be a different shade to that in the photo.

The scene is mounted onto a high quality blank greeting card and includes an envelope.
Size approximately 127 mm x 178 mm (7" x 5")

This card is sized to drop into a 127 mm x 178 mm (7" x 5") photo frame to be enjoyed for longer.
